We are releasing GGG 1.4. (April 15, 2005).
Following the latest trends in Search Engine Optimizing, we gave more value to original contents and less value to redundant linking.
Please refer to our recently added pages (April 2005) at this site:
Linking structure for multiple GGG sites : why linking must be more selective than previously thought. Basically, each GGG Project must conform a MiniSite, and several related GGG Projects must be interllinked in a MiniNet.
Expert SEO Guidelines for optimized sites : several theoretical points that moves us to modify the features of our software and our campaign design strategy.
eBook in which we base this advice : recent ebooks which we read and recommend.
Now all the GGG variable elements (images, content boxes, links, footer) are text elements in the Page Templates. They can be edited at will, for better ranking results according to the user SEO expertise, and for better page visual aspect.
There are 2 forms to edit templates:
Versions Freeware and WM access the templates with any text editor.
The advanced SP and eMarketer versions use the graphic Template Editor for better control over the final page appearance.
Check templateeditor.htm for a detailed guide on Template Editor.
English - German - French - Italian - Spanish - Dutch - Swedish -
Now you can import phrases from a plain text .txt file. Those phrases can be used for:
A different description Metatag for every page.
Note that in previous versions, all pages shared the same description. Yahoo, AllTheWeb, Teoma.AltaVista, Go (formerly InfoSeek), and Inktomi (HotBot and MSN) index "keywords" in metadata. These, and Excite, are also sensitive to the presence of the "description" metatag.
Inserting different phrases after each Link to 1st level pages.
This increases the text value of your pages, and suppress the Link abuse risk. For instance:
- Link to 1st Level Page AAA
This is the First Phrase from the Phrase List.
- Link to 1st Level Page BBB
This is the Second Phrase from the Phrase List.
The Phrase Generator of Synonymizer is ideal to generate thousands of relevant phrases in a couple of minutes. Get the free trial for up to 5-word phrases, and buy the registered version for up to 10-word phrases.
Use the Content Generator to make hundreds of content boxes using synonymization and phrase order randomization. Export content boxes directly into the GGG door.mdb database.
The Edit Header feature (Step 5.3) is now used in all versions for fixed metatags, in particular to call an external .css file. This improves the appearance of our pages, makes them easier to maintain and reduces the formatting components, that act against optimization.
The Edit Header does not interfere with the variable metatags: Title, Keywords, Description, which are mostly related to the main keyword of each page.
The Keyword element names the main keyword of the page. You can repeat this element 2 or 3 times in any template, for increased Keyword Density. The "Table" template set uses the new element, enhanced by H1, Bold and other text attributes for increased weight.
The main keyword is the specific keyword in 1st level pages, the specific subkeyword in 2nd level pages, or to each combined keyword-subkeyword in random pages.
The Id/Index page is the page that links to all the random pages in a given Host, as defined in Step 4. A Host can be a domain or a directory. In the SiteMap there is a link to all the Id/Index pages.
Pages are named id.htm if they are in the root of a domain, to avoid overwriting an existing index. If the pages are hosted in a subdirectory (not in the domain root) they are named index.htm.
This new page type can have its own template.
See the GGG Version Comparison page for a complete list of features in every version.
